For print and copy shops

Print your customers' documents without keeping them in your email

Customers who need an ID card, contract or tax form printed usually email it to the shop. That copy then stays in your inbox for years. With Sunset Docs they scan a QR code and upload from their phone. You print the file, and it deletes itself within hours.

At the counter

From the customer's phone to the printer in four steps

  1. Print your QR signSunset Docs creates a counter sign with your shop name and a QR code. No app and no customer account are needed.
  2. The customer uploadsThey choose the files on their phone, add a name or order number and instructions such as 2 copies in colour. An email address is optional.
  3. You printThe upload usually appears in your inbox within a minute. Open the page previews and print a clean copy at print quality.
  4. The file deletes itselfChoose a deletion period of 1, 8 or 24 hours. You can also delete the files as soon as the customer has their copies.
01

No IDs piling up in the shop inbox

Customer files never land in your mailbox as attachments, so there is no mailbox full of passports and contracts to clean up later.

02

Faster than email or a USB stick

Customers upload straight from their phone camera roll or files. Nothing to plug in and no address to type.

03

A record without the documents

The activity log shows who opened and printed each file and when. After deletion only a short record remains, without file names or contents.

Plain limits

What Sunset Docs does not do

A printed copy is a physical copy. Handing it over or destroying spare prints stays your responsibility.

Deleting a file in Sunset Docs does not remove copies the customer keeps on their phone or elsewhere. Deleted data that remains in encrypted database backups expires with those backups within 30 days and is never restored for normal access.

Data protection rules ask businesses to keep personal data only as long as they need it and to collect no more than necessary. Short deletion periods help you show that in practice, but they do not replace your own policies.
